Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, including meal and rest breaks, rounding policies, and remote work regulations.
Prepare for workforce reductions by reviewing separation agreements and communication strategies.
Train Management and or Human Resource teams to conduct internal investigations promptly, neutrally, and thoroughly.
Ensure that employees are trained in Cal/OSHA standards and how to comply with workplace safety and health regulations.
Establish and maintain safety programs that comply with Cal/OSHA standards, including Injury Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), Emergency Action Program, Outdoors and Indoors Heat Prevention Program, Workplace Violence Prevention Program and Hazard Communication (HazCom).
Know what to expect during an inspection, including the arrival, opening conference, walkaround, employee interviews and closing conference.
Review and monitor Workers' Compensation Claims, ensure all necessary documentation is collected and accurate. Negotiate settlements with claimants or their representatives in cases of disputed claims.
Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)
· Audit Existing Policies and Safety Programs: Review all existing Policies and Safety Programs to determine if documents are compliant, recommend changes or updates to documents.
· Monthly Safety Inspections: A thorough assessment to evaluate the safety conditions of the workplace, equipment or processes.
· Monthly Safety Meeting: To reinforce safety programs and address existing concerns.
· Length of Time: Contract will be for 6 or 12 months, and client will continue and comply with Labor Laws and Cal/OSHA standards.
· Create and Establish Policies and Safety Programs: Establish the top 8 policies and safety programs.
· Training and Implementation: Train and educate all required employees on policies and procedures for implementation.
· Monthly Safety Inspections: A thorough assessment to evaluate the safety conditions of the workplace, equipment or processes.
· Monthly Safety Meeting: To reinforce safety programs and address existing concerns.
· Length of Time: Contract will be for 6 or 12 months, and client will continue and comply with Labor Laws and Cal/OSHA standards.
